December 13th, 2011

Christmas Party Night: The eagerly awaited Scotstown GAA Christmas Party will take place this Saturday December 17th at 9pm in the Social Club at the Complex. It will be a night of music, food and fun to celebrate the festive season. There will be spot prizes, and Santa will arrive a week early for someone as the Ciste draw will take place on the night as well. A courtesy bus will be available at the end of the night for patrons. Come along for a night of music and craic – everyone welcome!

Juvenile Presentation: There was a great turnout on Sunday night in the Complex for our Juvenile Presentation night. Youth Officer Macartan McKenna organised a great event, with special guests Ciaran McKeever, Ciara McAnespie and Darren Hughes presenting the various medals and awards. Ciaran was kind enough to bring along the Cormac McAnallen trophy which the Irish International Rules team recently won, and many of those who attended on the night took the opportunity to get a photo taken with the silverware and the special guests. Well done to all the juvenile boys and girls, and their mentors for their involvement and dedication throughout the year. Thanks also to everyone who attended or helped out on the night. If any of the boys from the U12 Division 4, U14 Division 1, U14 Division 5 and U16 double winning teams were unable to attend the Presentation Night last Sunday, they can collect their medals by contacting Macartan McKenna on 086-3425380.
