Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club Notes: 

DVD Launch: Latton O’Rahilly G.A.A. Club, with the help of a number of players, have complied a unique DVD showcasing the clubs past, with an achievements. “The Rise of the O’Rahillys,” contains 16 senior finals, team photos and post-match interviews down through the years.

The DVD will be launched in the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre tomorrow night, Friday 23rd December at 9 p.m., trophies and cups won by the club over the years will be on display, with an opportunity to meet the winning team captains. The DVD will be available for purchase on the night, and can be purchased at McElroy’s shop and Lynch’s of Lisnalong, an ideal last minute stocking filler for Santa. So, come along tomorrow night and join in the Christmas cheer, mulled wine reception, refreshments served with D.J. till late.

Christmas Party Night on Wednesday next 28th December: The annual club Christmas party night, takes place on Wednesday next 28th December, commencing at 8.30p.m. Music by Evan O’Donnell. Refreshments served. Everyone welcome, for a great night, to celebrate the Christmas cheer.

1986 Junior Football Championship Winning Team: Will be guests of honour next Wednesday night for a special presentation to honour 25 years since winning the historic Junior Football Championship of 1986. Everyone invited along to honour the heroes of 1986. DVD of 1986 Junior Final will be on show.

Christmas Day Swim: At 12 noon on Sunday next, 25th December, Christmas Day. All proceeds from the players Christmas swim, will go to local Senior Citizens. Your attendance and support will be appreciated.

Annual Awards Presentations 2011: Will take place in the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre on Saturday 28th January 2012 commencing at 7.30 p.m.  Music by Mr Music. The highlight of the night will be the presentation of the 2011 Monaghan Senior Football Championship Medals, with special presentations on the evening.

Annual General Meeting 2012: The Club’s Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 11th January 2012 at 7.30 p.m. sharp. Reviewing a memorable year of 2011 and plan for 2012.

Latton Lotto X-tra: €16,100 will be the Jackpot for Latton Lotto  X-tra Draw, which takes place on Sunday 8th January2012, in Liam Smyth’s Bar, Ballybay. Team for this draw will be Edmond Lennon and Seamus Coyle.

No Jackpot winner at draw in Joe Rice’s bar last weekend. Numbers drawn 24-10-16-15 Bonus No12. Winners of Special Christmas Giveaways were Michael Duffy, Stranooden, Kevin Paddy Fitzpatrick, Anney, Gary Sullivan Lisnalong, Paul Finlay Ballybay and Kevin Finlay Ballybay.

County Awards Presentations takes place in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on Friday 27th January at 8 p.m.

Championship Draws:Latton will open their defence of their S.F.C. title against Clontribet on July 1st 2012. In the O’Duffy Cup (Reserve Championship) Latton play Truagh in Latton.
