Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club Notes:

1986 Latton Junior Championship Winning Team to be honoured: The Latton O’Rahilly, Monaghan Junior Football Championship Winning Team of 1986 will be guests of honour at a special presentation to mark the 25th Anniversary of this historic win, in the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre, on Wednesday 28th December, commencing at 8.30 p.m. Dancing to Evan O’Donnell, Refreshments served. Tickets are available from all committee members at €10.00 each.

 

Diary Date: Annual Awards Presentation’s 2011 will take place in the O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre, on Saturday 28th January 2012. Dancing to Mr Music. A special night to look forward to, the highlight being the presentation of the 2011 Monaghan Senior Football Championship Medals, with numerous other special presentations on the evening. “Friends of Latton”: A very big thank you to all members of Cairde Leachtain, “Friends of Latton” your generosity is helping the club to achieve continued success and development on and off the playing field. The winners of the special draw, held on Friday evening last in the G.A.A. Centre, were 1st Prize, €250.00 winner, Padraig McEntee, Latton, 2nd Prize 150.00, Finbar Fitzpatrick, Anney and 3rd Prize €100.00, Rosemary Connolly, Lacken. Thanks again to all their support.

Annual General Meeting: The Club’s Annual General Meeting 2012, takes place in the Clubrooms on Wednesday 11thJanuary 2012, at 7.30 p.m.

Nomination /Motion forms are currently being circulated to all club members shortly, and must be returned, no later than Wednesday 21st December at 10 p.m All. Club members should give due consideration to their choice of nominee’s and motions to the A.G.M, and please ensure your nominees’ are interested in going forward for a position before they are nominated.

Accounts-Bills/ Monies etc.: Club Treasurer, Paul Quinn request all Monies/ Bills etc. due to the club are forwarded to him immediately or no later than Tuesday 13th December, to allow club accounts, to be finalised.

 

Job Bridge Internship Scheme: Monaghan G.A.A. are currently offering a number of positions on the above scheme, anyone interested contact 042-9752033 or go to Job Bridge on G.A.A.ie

Christmas Day Swim 2011 takes place on Christmas morning 25th December at 12 noon at Lough Avaughan. Latton. All proceeds in aid of local senior citizens. Anyone interested in joining the players, can obtain sponsorship cards by contacting any committee member.

Latton Lotto X-tra: €15, 900 is the Jackpot for this weekend’s Latton Lotto  X-tra Draw, which takes place on Sunday next 11th December in Paddy’s Lynch’s Bar, Lisnalong. No winner last weekend at draw in Rocky Street Bar, Ballybay. Numbers drawn 5-12-27-3 Bonus Ball 6. €20.00 Winners, Aishling Hughes, Tullycorbett, Enda Monaghan, Ballybay, Frank McNally, Belamount Arms, Patrick Black, Annascue and Eamon McMahon, Swan’s Cross. O’Rahilly G.A.A. Centre is open each Friday evening from 8.30p.m., Pool Competitions, Card Playing etc.

Next Committee Meeting on Thursday 15th December at 8.00p.m. sharp. All committee members please attend.

County Convention: Latton O’Rahilly’s will be represented at this evening’s (Thursday 8th December) County Convention by Seamus McElroy, Paddy Coyle and Seamus Coyle.

Sympathy: The O’Rahilly G.A.A. Club wish to extend sincere sympathy to the Daly Family (formerly of Anney) on the death of Grainne Connolly, Casleblayney.
