Alpha Lotto
The Alpha Lotto Draw took place in the Skule Inn on Sunday night last. The winning letters were I, P, R, J. There was no winner of the Lotto.  The weekly winner of €60 was Helen Mc Mahon, Magherarney.   Winners of the €20 luck dip were Ryan & Cathal Sweeney, Shanroe, Des Connolly Gortmore, Gerry Lambe Derrintoney, Peter Sherry, Threemilehouse – MD, Michelle Mc Glone Emyvale, Frankie Rooney Castleblaney, Kevin Mc Kenna Mulladuff. Sellers Prize of €20 went to Brendan McMahon. The next draw will be on Sunday 18th December in Bens Place .Jackpot is now €1,150. Thanks to all for your continued support to what is an essential club income. Weekly tickets can be purchased at a number of outlets in the village or from any club member. Alternatively you can become a yearly or quarterly subscriber to the Lotto by contacting any of our club members. MD = Monthly Draw, SM = Special Member

Eire Og Centre of the community for 40 years is still on sale in local shops for €10. It’s a really interesting look at Eire Og and the history of the village itself.

 

Club Shop – There is a limited range of Juvenile club merchandise for sale at the minute. The club shop will be open on Sunday next, the 18th December from 12.30pm – 1.30pm for anybody looking to make an ideal Christmas purchase.

Membership – The club can confirm that membership rates for 2012 will remain unchanged. The price is €20 and can be paid to Ciaran Leonard.We would encourage existing club members to renew their subscriptions as soon as possible and we would sincerely welcome any newcomers wishing to join. All Senior players are reminded that monies must be paid before the commencement of the 2012 season. Any player who fails to pay the membership fees will not be considered for selection and similarly the club will decline to cover any medical expenses incurred in the event of an injury being sustained

Do You Own Second Hand Gym Equipment?
Do you have any exercise equipment that’s gathering dust! Any equipment that you don’t use anymore or as much as you used to? Would you like to find a better home for it?
If so, the club would be delighted to hear from you and we’ll make sure it’s put to good use. Magherarney Community Childcare Services – Pre School & After School are holding a festive cake sale in Smithboro hall on Sunday next, 18th December at 10am. Anyone wishing to donate to the cake sale please contact Patricia 047 57917. All support would be appreciated.

Handball – A special well done to Conor Leonard on winning the U14 County Handball Championship at the weekend. Played at St Mellans, Conor defeated Martin Mullen from the Monaghan Harps club in the final.

The Official Monaghan GAA Yearbook 2011 – this 367 page publication offers a comprehensive review of all Monaghan GAA activity in 2011. Keenly priced at €10, it is available in all good newsagents throughout the county.
