Sean Mac Diarmada Notes 24-11-11

Scór na nOg:

Our club was very well represented last Friday, in the 1^st semi-final of Scór na nOg. Three of the four categories we participated in got through to the final: Ceile Dancing, Solo Singing & Quiz Team. We wish them every success in the final, which takes place this Friday 25^th in Corcaghan, at 8pm.

                The standard this year is truly outstanding, so our commiserations must go to the Instrument Group, who performed out of their skins, and were just pipped at the post. A huge thank you is due to Rian McEntee, Niamh Staunton, Niamh Maguire, Aoife McElvaney & Ailíse McNally, for all their hard work & dedication. They did us proud!

Cultural Night:

Remember to keep the 2nd Friday free – our monthly Traditional Irish Music session takes place on Friday 9th December. This is already promising to be a great night with both junior & more seasoned musicians in the line-up. Session kicks off at 9pm sharp. Any singers/dancers please feel free to come along, everyone welcome. We look forward to seeing you all there! 

AGM:

Our club AGM is penciled in for Friday 2^nd December 2011 @9:00pm.

Bowls:

Bowls every Thursday night in complex at 8.30pm. New members of all ages welcome. Coaching and Bowls will be provided.

CLG Sean Mac Diarmada would like to sympathise with the Connolly family, Leck on the death of Charlie Connolly, and the Shuel family Aughnamallagh on the death of Peter. May they rest in peace.
