Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 3rd November
Eamon Mc Elroy and Benny Connolly Tournament: Semi Final & Finals Took place on Saturday. Monaghan Harps beat Truagh in the Benny Connolly Shield Competition and in a thrilling Cup Final Galbally beat Cullyhanna to take home the Eamon McElroy cup. The Juvenile Club would like to thank all teams who took part in this competition from near and far and it is a encouraging seeing that teams are willing to travel and participate in this now renowned competition. A massive thank you to all who helped out in any way to ensure the smooth running of the Eamon McElroy & Benny Connolly Tournament and a special thanks to the ladies for the fabulous catering that was available to all mentors and players ( & Supporters) – it is much appreciated by the Juvenile Committee. All in all another successful year and we look forward to 2012.

Emy Belles: are holding a walk in Emyvale GAA grounds on Friday 11th November at 20.11pm. We are donating all proceeds from the walk to the “Help Daire reach for the stars!” fund. Baby Daire Gorman whose family are from Emyvale and Tyholland was born on 16th Sept 2011. He’s a very special beautiful little boy. He was born with no arms. He is a happy normal little boy, but in the future he is going to need some extra help. His daddy is Kenny and mammy’s name is Shelly and we would love to see as many people come and join us as we “Help Daire reach for the stars!”.

Scor: Well done to all those involved at spraoi scor last weekend in tullycorbett, Our participants performed brilliantly in solo singing, recitation, ballad group, and question time. We extend a huge thank you to the coach’s and mentors and to all those who came to support the club. We have no doubt that there will be many successful nights ahead for the club.
