Over 100 secondary school students took part in a hurling and camogie coaching session on Wednesday 19^th October in the County GAA Grounds, Cloghan. The session, designed to promote player development, involved development officers taking students through the basic skills of hurling including catching, ground striking & striking from the hand. The schools were divided into male and female groups and also according to playing ability. The groups then spent 15-20 minutes at each station learning a skill from coaches. The day finished with a mini blitz for all the players. The coaches involved were Colin Malone, Ann McKenna, Gerard Gribben (Regional Camogie Officer), Martin Corey, Stephen Lynch, Alan Ryan, & Ronan McWIlliams (Regional Hurling Development Officer).  In total five schools were represented including Colaiste Oiriall, St. Louis Secondary School Carrickmacross, Inver College, Patrician High School & St. Macartans.
