DRUMHOWAN CLUB NOTES 10.10.11

Drumhowan on the World Wide Web

A little later than some, the Drumhowan has recently embraced the communication’s revolution of the modern age.  After a false start some years ago, the Club has now launched its new web and facebook sites.  You can keep up to date with all club activities on www.drumhowan.gaa.ie and www.facebook.com.DrumhowanGAA.

Drumhowan 3-12  Donaghmoyne 1-7

At last, a performance that reflects our true ability and puts a spring back into the step of our loyal supporters. Unfortunately, it comes too late to turn our season around.  Nonetheless, a win is a win and if we can get a result in our final game against Corduff on Saturday next, it will give us all a lift at the end of what has been an extremely disappointing season. Team: Dean Mooney, Dermot Mooney, Darren Duffy, Niall Mooney, Ronan Duffy, Kieran Deery, Paddy Mulligan, Anthony Mulligan, Dermot McDermott, Kevin Mooney, kieran McElroy, Kieran Mooney, David Millar, Colm Lambe, Michael Atkinson.

Fixtures

We play Corduff in the final game of the season in Drumhowan on Saturday next at 4.00pm.  Although of no consequence for us, it would be nice to end the season with a win and provide a solid platform for 2012. Our thanks to the management team of Kieran Conlon, Matthew Lambe and Niall McAdam for their hard work with the team over the year and it was certainly no lack of effort on their part that the season was not as we would have liked it to be.

All Ireland Tickets’ Draw

Congratulations to Padraig Sherry, Breen Whyte, Dermot Mooney and Gerry McElroy, winners in our recently held draw.  Our thanks to all who supported the draw, proceeds of which are in aid will go to suppoert our juvenile teams.
