Seniors –The seniors wound up their league season with a narrow 1-10 to 0-11 defeat at the hands of Clontibret last Saturday afternoon.
Junior Bs – The B semi-final against Scotstown has been fixed for Saturday 22nd Oct at 4PM in Scotstown, this may change depending on how the Cs do in their semi-final.

Junior C – The C semi-final against Aghabog has been re-arranged for Sunday week the 16th in Aghabog at 2PM.

Operation TransFAUGHmation – The participants of Operation TransFaughmation spent last Friday night going through a very enjoyable boxercise work-out under the watchful eye of Orla and the members of Castleblayney Boxing Club. On Sunday morning the group split into walkers and runners with local triathlon champion Dessie Duffy offering words of encouragement and advice to the group. He even managed to pass out the super fit Brian Sherry on his third lap.

This Friday night there is Pilates with Janet Keenan in Rath na nOg at 8.15PM, please remember to take a towel or mat. On Sunday there will be the usual run/walk at the Black Island at 11AM. Circuit training continues at Rath na nOg next Tuesday evening at 6.15PM under the watchful eye of Marc Loughman. Gaelic4Girls – The Ladies Gaelic Football Association in association with Castleblayney Faughs are commencing an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls, aimed at girls between the ages of 9 and 13 yrs. The programme was launched this week at Scoil na gCailini and begins on Thursday the 6th October 2011 at Our Lady’s Secondary School. The programme will run for 8 weeks from 6.30 p.m. until 7.30 p.m. at a cost of €1.00 per week. Having completed the 8 week programme the girls will be presented with their G4G T-shirt and Certificate and will then come together to participate in a fun Regional Blitz Day on Saturday 26th November 2011. The programme is being co-ordinated by Darren McQuillan (Faughs) 086 63844055 and Eliza Downey (Ladies Gaelic Football Urban Programme Officer) 087 7676704.

Juvenile Training – Juvenile training has been halted for a couple of weeks to give the coaches a well earned rest but will return with a vengeance in October with the launch of the annual winter training programme.

Lotto – Lotto numbers for the week ending 26th September 2011 were 03, 12, 18 and 27. There was no Jackpot winner; one ticket matched 3 numbers to win €150; Tom McGuigan, Conabury. Next week’s jackpot is €11,000.
