Seniors had a hard earned win at the weekend away to Sean Mc Dermotts on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-9. Aughnamullen dominated the first half and went in at the break 0-7 to 0-2 ahead but really should of been further in front but for some missed goal opportunities. Aughnamullen started the second half well and kicked 3 points to extend their lead to 8 but Seans fought back strongly and took in back to 2 points going into injury time and tried hard to engineer a goal but Aughnamullen stood firm with Seans having to settle for a consolation point which seen Aughnamullen victors by the minimum thus meaning we are safe and competing in Intermediate for another year. Team and scorers, Gary Mulligan, Stephen Ward, Sam Dooney, Thomas Finnegan, Brian Mc Connell, Paul Mulligan, Shane Conlon, Lee Conlon (0-1), Pete Dooney (0-4), Mickey Keenan (0-2), Eddie Mc Ardle, Stephen Hamilton, Mark Mc Ardle, Colm Flanagan (0-1), Sean Sheridan (0-2). Subs Used, Brendan Finnegan for Eddie Mc Ardle.

Reserves played Killeevan in Drumhowan on Sunday in the league final. Killeevan started brighter scoring 2 points in the opening 2 minutes but Aughnamullen hit back through Mark Mc Ardle, Eddie Mc Ardle and Paul Mulligan before Killeevan levelled. Then a frantic few minutes saw Patrick Sheridan fist to the net for Aughnamullen but Killeevan went straight down the field and registered a goal of their own. Killeevan had the final say of the opening half to leave the scoreline Aughnamullen 1-3, Killeevan 1-4.
In the second half it was end to end stuff for large parts with Eddie Mc Ardle levelling matters from a free on 10 minutes. Both sides then exchanged 2 points each with Mark and Eddie Mc Ardle on target for Aughnamullen. With 2 minutes left Pauric Bannigan looked to have won it with a fine long range effort but Killeevan, like the first half, had the final say to force a replay. Aughnamullen 1-7, Killeevan 1-7. Team and scorers, Seamus Courtney, Alan Sheridan, Thomas Finnegan, Stephen Hamilton, Damian Mc Connell, David Shevlin, Brian Mc Connell (capt), Shane Conlon, Brendan Finnegan, Patrick Sheridan (1-0), Eddie Mc Ardle (0-3), Pauric Bannigan (0-1), Mickey Keenan, Paul Mulligan (0-1), Mark Mc Ardle (0-2).
