U-12s: Congratulations to our U-12 team who won the Coyle Cup division 1 league final, for the first time in the club’s history, by beating Monaghan Harps 4-7 to 3-9 in Blackhill. We dominated the first half with a great team display from all the players, and thanks to a hat-trick of goals from Aaron Mohan were 3-4 to 1-3 up at half time. However, Monaghan Harps came out stronger in the second half and had leveled the match by the 29th minute. With the scores still level with 6 minutes remaining, we restored our lead to 4 points in the last few minutes of an exciting match. A last gasp goal by the Harps wasn’t enough to take victory from us in a memorable game, 4-7 to 3-9. Our team and scorers were: Shane McKenna, Finbar McGinn, Colm MacAnespie; Cormac McKenna, Gary Mohan; Ryan Mohan (1-1), Kallum McKenna (0-1); Killian Woods, James treanor (0-1); Oran McElligot (0-1), Aaron Mohan (3-3). Final Action: Our under 16s play the final of the league this evening, Thursday in Monaghan Harps where we play Cootehill. This has been a brilliant league campaign for the lads where they have shown great skill and determination throughout, and with this being the greatest achievement for the club at this level, plenty of support is expected. Throw in 6.30pm.

Juvenile Coaching: We hope to start our juvenile coaching in September shortly. We would advise  all players, old and new, to get back into the alley for some early practicing. We will also have a short meeting of all the coaches involved in last years coaching and hoping to recruit new coaches in order to help facilitate sessions. We would encourage parents who want to take part in the coaching of the juveniles to contact any member of the committee.

Outstanding Finals: There are a few outstanding finals to be played from last season. All delays were due to injuries, but we would ask all players involved to try and get a few practise games and get the matches played asap.
