Emyvale Ladies Notes

September 21st, 2011

Seniors
Our senior team beat Truagh in the Reserve league semi final on Saturday last. They now meet Donaghamoyne in the final. This Saturday
we play in the All Ireland 7 a side competition. We wish them the very best of luck.Training for seniors tonight in Tully at 7.
Minors
Our minors travelled to Magheracloone on Thursday evening last. Unfortunately we were missing a number of players and Magheracloone took the points
U14
Once again our U14 team take pride and place capturing the U14 championship against Monaghan Harps. This completed the treble for them in what has been a fantastic year,
winning the county Feile, Division 1 league and now the championship. Both teams served up a very entertaining game with the Emyvale girls coming back from the brink of defeat. A big well done to all the girls, Barney and the rest of the management team. This Saturday they travel to Dublin where they take part in the All Ireland 7 a side competition.
We wish them the very best of luck.
Best Wishes
This Sunday all roads lead to Croke Park to see the Monaghan ladies face the mighty Cork in the senior championship final. This is a fantastic occassion for the girls and indeed for Emyvale with 6 players on the panel and Peter part of the management team. We wish Therese, Grainne, Una, Nicola, Aoife , Ciara, Peter and the rest of the team and management the very best of luck. Let’s hope the Brendan Martin cup makes it way back down the road to Monaghan
Well done to Ellen O Brien who along with the Cork U14 captain will place the Brendan Martin cup on its stand prior to the game. Also Darren Mc Anespie who will be one of the mascots on the day. A large crowd from Emyvale will be heading to Croke Park to cheer on the girls so let’s hope we have a very successful day. Good luck also to Catriona Brady ex county player who plays for New York in the Junior final.
The village is very well decorated in support of the girls so well done to Paudge and Niall for their efforts. Also to Erin for the banner.
Anniversary
This Saturday evening at half 7 in Middletown, is the 3rd anniversary mass for the late Kevin Donnelly. Kevin played a big part in the Emyvale club for many years and this weekend we remember Kevin for all that he brought to the club.
