DRUMHOWAN CLUB NOTES 19.9.11
Under 14s in final
Our U-14s reached the final of the Division 4 League with a good win over a gallant Tyholland team on Saturday last and qualified to play Killeevan in the final on October 1st next. Congratulations to all concerned and good luck in the final. The club would like to invite any generous person or business to sponsor the team for the final. Anybody interested should contact our secretary, Noel Duffy.
Under 8s Go Games
There was great disappointment amongst our young stars when the Go Games scheduled for Saturday last in Clones were cancelled due to bad weather. Not to worry though, the event will be rescheduled for a future date.
Coaching workshop
An important coaching workshop entitled “Gaelic Start Information” will take place in Our Lady’s secondary School, Castleblayney on 11th October next. The workshop is targeted at coaches of children between the ages of 8 and 10 years and the club encourages all our coaches in this category, and indeed anybody interested in becoming a coach at this level, to attend. Details can be obtained from Donal McAdam.
Juvenile Training
There will be training for all our juveniles from U-8s to U-12 on Saturday next commencing at 11.45, followed by refreshments in the hall. Parents/guardians should note that their children will be will be available for collection at 1.30pm.
Club Meeting
All members of the committee are reminded that there will be a meeting in the centre on Thursday 29th commencing at 8.30pm.
Minor League Division II Final
The final of the McCarey Cup takes place in McKeown Park on Saturday next commencing at 2.00pm. All stewards are requested to be in attendance by 1.00pm.
