MONAGHAN  V  CORK
Congratulations to the Monaghan team who played in Croke Park on Sunday last. Its always disappointing to come second but let us not forget the honour of getting to the final and playing on the hallowed ground, there are thirty counties who would have changed places with you. The quality of play was outstanding and all members of the squad should be proud of the  attitude and commitment shown. Well done Ellen scoring two great Points.  The people of Scotshouse were delighted to have two of our girls in the squad.

CURRIN:
With just two games left to play in the league, Currin are in second place. The next game is on Saturday 8th October at Home so lets make sure we have a large support there. The following week we play Eire Og at Smithborough.
This weeks game against Donaghmoyne on Saturday resulted in a great result for the lads. Currin 3-12 Donaghmoyne 0-12.  A well deserved result.  The game started with a team effort culminating in Stephen Smyth scoring a great goal.  The forwards played well together especially Jack McCarron and Stephen Smyth who scored the goals.  This was a great game to watch and was pleasing to see that Currin had a good few supporters who travelled with the team. The team is playing as they started the season and if this continues could result in promotion next year, The team always respond to support so get along to these last two gams.  Team Fergal Connolly, Tommy Maguire, Conor McCaffrey, Enda McCaffrey, Patrick McDermott, Cieran McCaffrey, Sean Brady,Dick Clerkin, Michael Quigley, Shane O’Connor, Phillip O’Callaghan, Ben Clerkin, Stephen Smyth, Jack McCarron,Gareth Beattie. Scorers: Jack McCarron 2-4, Stephen Smyth 1-3, Phillip O’Callaghan 2 points, Dick Clerkin 1 point, Gareth Beattie 1 point, Ben Clerkin 1 point.
