Seniors started the week with a brilliant win over near neighbours Drumhowan last Wednesday on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-14. Aughnamullen played some great football in the first half with the highlight being a fine team goal worked from the full back line and finished brilliantly by an in form Chris Keenan who scored 1-6 in total. At half time Aughnamullen led by 7 but Drumhowan fought back in the second half and almost snatched a draw but for some great defending by the home side.

In the second game last week we were defeated by Donaghmoyne on Sunday last on a scoreline of 5-9 to 3-8. At half time the sides were level at 1-5 apiece with the Aughnamullen goal coming from Colm Flanagan but a bad start to the second half and the concession of 3-1 in 5 min led to our down fall. The lads fought back to 3 points but Donaghmoyne struck for another goal to kill the game off.

Reserves play Truagh on Sunday at 12.30 in Aughnamullen.

Under 16s had a great win over St Macartens in the semi-final of the Championship on Monday night last on a scoreline of Aughnamullen 7-8, St Macartens 2-4. We now play Cremartin in the final with the date and venue yet to be fixed.
