Ladies:

Congratulations: to Ellen, Laura and the Monaghan Ladies County team on their victory over Kerry in the All Ireland semi-final. Keep free Sunday 25th September for the All Ireland final in Croke Park where Monaghan will take on Cork. Aghabog will be further represented on the day by Cathriona Brady who played centre half back on the victorious New York team.

U-14s :

Our Under 14s made their first outing of this year’s Championship to the Seans on Monday evening. Despite bad weather conditions the girls showed great fight and determination, proving that they’d reserved their best football for the Championship. The going was tough in the first half but the girls were quick off the block in the second half and narrowed the gap significantly. Alas, it was not to be and we lost narrowly. This is an extremely young team with five of the starting 11 still eligible at U12s and all the girls must be congratulated on a great team performance with Katie Leonard, Zoe Kierans, Sinéad Gallagher and Caoimhe McGorman in goals deserving particular mention. The U14 Championship is played in a league fashion and our second game of this competition will be played on Monday, 12th at 6.30pm at home to Killeevan. All support is welcome!

U12s:

The last u12 training session of the year takes place tonight (Thursday) @ 6.30pm. A huge thank you to all the parents who attended the matches and who drove players to their away games. Your support is very much appreciated.
