Seniors -The seniors warmed up for this weekend’s Championship game with a 2-15 to 0-10 win over Inniskeen on Sunday morning. Short several regulars it took them time to settle and it wasn’t until the second half that they pulled away and secured the points.

Senior Championship fixture: The Championship returns this Sunday evening with a 6.15PM throw-in against Ballybay at Aughnamullen.

Junior B -The Bs lost narrowly 0-14 to 2-10 against Monaghan Harps last Friday night. There was never much between the teams but goals either side of half time for the Harps sealed Blayneys fate. Despite this loss they are still well placed to gain a semi-final berth.

Junior C – The Cs almost certainly sealed their place in the knockout stages with a 4-12 to 2-05 win over Fergal O’Hanlons on Wednesday night last. A first half blitz of 3-2 from experienced C player Sean McGeough was the highlight of the game.

Minors –Double disappointment for the minors over the last week. First they bowed out of the Championship last Tuesday night after an epic tussle against Truagh on a score of 0-11 to 0-10. On Monday night they ended their league fixtures with a 1-13 to 0-06 reverse to Carrickmacross. Despite this loss they still qualify for the knockout stages in 1st place and eagerly await their semi-final opponents. Best wishes to Pauric Greene who suffered a recurrance of his injury in the championship game.
