CLUB NOTES

McGuigan Builders Intermediate Championship
Last Sunday (12th June) our senior team was defeated by Currin in the preliminary round of the intermediate championship on a score-line Rockcorry 0-9 Currin 1-10. In many ways our second half performance reflected the awful weather conditions which were quite simply miserable! The game was played in wet and slippery underfoot conditions and the first half was evenly contested with Currin enjoying a slender 0-7 to 1-6 advantage at the interval. However, our display during the second half was poor as we struggled to cope with the conditions and ultimately we failed to match Currin’s hunger and desire and we only managed to raise the white flag twice, the first arriving on the 21st minute and the second during injury time. In fairness, we can’t have any complaints as Currin were more eager and first to the dirty ball on most occasions. Moving forward it is important we take the positives from the game, particularly our display in the first half and build on this for our next encounter in the back-door championship which is against Drumhowan. Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Championship
Tomorrow evening Friday 17th June our reserve team are back inaction when they take on Blackhill in the next round of the reserve football championship. The game is fixed for Pairc Naomh Mhuire and has a throw-in time of 7.30pm.

The numbers drawn last Monday night were 6, 14, 23 and 24. There was no jackpot winner of €7,600.00.
