Results:
JFC: Clones 0-07 Aghabog 0-06. A very disappointing result on Friday last in Scotstown. Trailing 0-05 to 0-1 midway through the first half we had managed to close the gap to 0-5 0-03 by half-time. A decent second half display meant the sides were level entering the final five minutes but unfortunately despite having large periods of possession, we couldn’t manage to find the score that would have put us ahead. Our misery was compounded when Clones popped up to score the winner at the death.
Fixtures:
JFC: Aghabog vs Killanny in Corduff at 7:15pm this Saturday 27th June. We must overcome last week’s disappointment quickly when we take on a Killanny team who recorded a big win over our neighbours Killevan on Sunday.
Lost and Found:
A number of clothing items, etc have built up in the Clubhouse over the last while, if you think you may have lost anything recently, please contact a committee member to arrange collection or just call into the clubhouse.
Sympathy:
The club would like to extend our sincere sympathy to Patsy and Seamus McPhillips on the death of their sister Bridie, and to the entire McPhillips family. There was a minutes silence prior to last week’s championship game as a mark of respect for Bridie who was an aunt of current Aghabog player Stephen McPhillips.
We would also like to extend our sympathy to the Connolly family, Drumsnatt on the death of their mother Rose Connolly. Dominic, Dessie & Martin all played with our club in years gone by. Ar dheis De go raibh a ainm dilis.
