Seniors: Our next senior game is at home to Doohamlet this Saturday 21st May at 6.30pm.

Reserve Div. 1 (B’s): Leading at half time by a point, we beat Cremartin 0-13 to 2-04 in St. Mellans last Sunday. Our team and scorers were: Martin Treanor; Alan McKenna, Niall McQuillan (0-1), John McCarron; Michael McCrudden, Pauric Treanor, Eoghan Kelly; Ronan McKenna, Gary Meehan (0-5, 1f, 1x45m); John Treanor (0-1), Paul Donaghue (0-3f), Brendan Treanor (0-1); Damian McCarron, Gary Todd (0-1), Daniel Finnegan. Subs Used: Martin Owens (0-1) for Damian McCarron (37mins), Paddy McKenna for Gary Todd (45mins), Darren McClenaghan for Paul Doaghue (51mins), Ciaran McCarron for John Treanor (57mins) & Shamus Treanor for Eoghan Kelly (60mins). Our next game is on Friday 27th May at home to Castleblayney at 7.45pm. Bon voyage to Ronan and Niall McKenna who head to Australia for the year.

Reserve Div. 3 (C’s): We lost to Rockcorry last Wednesday, 1-06 to 5-09. We were due to play Toome in the championship last night, Wednesday. We follow this game with a match at home to Clontibret this Saturday evening, 21st May, at 7.45pm. We then play away to Sean McDermotts next Wednesday, 25th May, at 7.45pm.

Reserve Div. 4 (D’s): We lost to Toome last Friday, 1-05 to 3-12. Our next game is at home to Castleblayney this Sunday at 7.45pm.

Minors: were due to play Emyvale last Tuesday. This is the last game before the exam break.

Lotto Jackpot now €3,000: There was no winner of last week’s jackpot. The lucky numbers were 3, 9, 14, 17. There were 9 match 3 winners, each receiving €25: Paudge Macklin, Marie Kerr-Killycooley, Colm Donaghue, Jack McCarville, Darren Treanor-Doogary, Rachel Landers, Phelim Daly, Leane Connolly-Threemilehouse & Lyla Steele (Yearly Ticket). U-6s: Coaching resumes this Saturday at 10am May 21st for 4, 5 & 6 year old boys and girls on the playing field. Indoor area will be used in the eventuality of rain. All welcome.

U-8s: took part in there first co go games blitz Saturday last in Scotstown. Our team on the day was Oran Maguire, Aoife Maguire, Louis Kelly, Eithne Boyle, Mark Deery, James Breslin, Shea Helferty, Aaron Treanor and Owen Flood. Thanks to James Deery and Aaron Treanor for travelling to referee. Training continues every Thursday 7-8pm in St. Mellans.

U-10s: are taking part in a county go games blitz next Saturday in Monaghan Harps. It starts at 10am. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 9am. Training continues every Thursday 7-8pm in St. Mellans.

U-12s: were beaten for the first time this year by Killanny last Friday evening. Our next is in the fun league finals in Cloghan on Saturday 28th May. More details next week. Training continues as per management.

U-14s: Our next game is at home to Cremartin on Saturday 21st may at 11am. Training continues as per management.

U-16s: were beaten by Emyvake last Thursday. Our next game is away to Killanny on Thursday 19th may at 7pm. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 5.30pm. Training continues as per management.

Child Protection Training: is being held at the following venues and dates between 7-10pm: Killanny Tuesday 10th May, Hillgrove Tuesday 24th May, Hillgrove Thursday 26th May, Ballybay Thursday 2nd June. To book your place text your name, club name and venue you wish to attend to Cathal Hand on 0871473373. It is recommended any person involved with juvenile management attend one of these courses.

Well done: to all our juvenile club members who made their first communion last Saturday.

 


Camogie:

Seniors: Training continues tomorrow at 6.30pm and on Monday at 8pm. We played Clontibret in the second round of the league away on Tuesday.  Results will be in next weeks notes. Our first championship game will now be against Inniskeen on 26th of June, so plenty opportunity to prepare for this big game. Can everyone please attend training. Training continues tomorrow at 7.30 and on Monday at 8pm.

Hard luck: to Siobhan, Orla, Sharon, Mairead and the rest of the Ulster squad who were beaten by Munster on Sunday in the Geal Linn inter-provincial tournament in St Judes, Dublin last Sunday.

Juveniles: Juvenile training on Saturday at 11am.  New players are very welcome. Orla, Catherine and Deirdre are on duty this week.


Lucky Square: Congratulations to Grainne Daly who was last weeks winner of the lucky square. All numbers for the lucky square have now been taken. Thank you to all who support.

 

Ladies Football:

U-14’s: played Doohamlet on Monday last. Results will follow next week.

 

U-16’s: play tonight, Thurs 19h May, away to O’Neill Shamrocks. Training continues as per management.

 

Reserve League: Play at home to Aghabog tomorrow evening Friday at 7pm.

 

Senior: Twelve of our girls had a fantastic day out at Clann hEireann 7-a side blitz on Saturday last. We were beaten by Emyvale in the semi finals. Keep free the 11th June for the Abbey Fanning Blitz.

 

Senior Training: continues as per management/texts. We ask all girls to make a huge effort to attend.

 

 

 

Handball:

Juvenile Doubles Competition: is scheduled for Saturday 21st of May. The U12’s and U13’s play in St.Mellans. The U14’s and U15’s are to play in Tydavent , while the U16’s and U17’s play in Monaghan Harps. All games start at 10am. We would ask all players who were entered in the competition earlier in the year to please make a special effort to make your venues.

Club Doubles: are now reaching the closing stages. In Division 1, Darren O’Reilly and Conor McGinnity take on Kevin Treanor and Padraig Mc Kenna, while in Division 2 Patrick Mc Kenna and Brian Mc Kenna (O) are awaiting the winners of Joe Kelly and Niall Mc Meel or Richard O Reilly and Declan Mc Kenna. Times of both finals will be notified by text.

County Presentation: Don’t forget presentation in Scotstown Complex on the 10th of June. All County Winners must attend. Please keep free this date.

Summer play: Any seniors or juveniles wanting to keep practising can do so as natural light will provide plenty of free lighting for the next few months. It is a great way of getting some free enjoyment and valuable exercise.

 

Hurling:

Seniors: Our seniors got another win under their belt last week with a victory over Carrick in the senior league. Training continues tonight and next Tuesday at 8pm.

 

U-14s: Training Monday and Wednesday at 6.30pm.

Juveniles: Training Wednesday evening at 6.30pm for all juveniles aged 12 and under.
