Team Affairs:

Our adult team entertained Donaghmoyne on Sunday last. Our adult panel was stretched to the last and put in a good performance on the day. Our next challenge is against table toppers Carrickmacross in the Intermediate Championship on the weekend of 12th June. Hopefully our injury list will have shortened by then.

Minors:

Our minor squad are taking a well earned rest for the students preparing for the State Examinations. We wish them all the best in their studies and hope to see them flying fit at the end of June when the competition resumes.

Alzheimer Society:

The Co Monaghan branch of the alzheimer’s society are holding a dance in the complex on Friday 17th June. All support appreciated. Music by Easy Touch.

Lounge:

Big Pat will provide entertainment in the lounge on Saturday night 4th June.

Traditional Music:

The Complex is the only place to be, on Friday 10th June. Our monthly Traditional Irish Music Session kicks off at 9pm sharp.

Camp Action

This year’s camp action will take place in its usual month of July from the 18th – 22nd and from the 25th -29th. This is a multi sports camp run by Ciaran Murphy comprising of activities such as Gaelic Football, Soccer, Rounder’s, Tag Rugby, Hockey, Athletics, Camps got talent. Table quiz etc. Ciaran will be round the schools in the coming weeks giving out application forms, they will also be available from the Sean’s Sports Complex and the local shops. Ulster Championship Tickets:

Monaghan take on Tyrone in the quarter final of Ulster Championship on Sunday 5th June, in Healy Park in Omagh. This is not an all ticket game; however tickets are required to gain admission to the covered stand. The county board has been allocated 1100 tickets for the stand. Family and senior citizens tickets are available for the covered stand. In order to book your tickets through the club, you must contact Derek Mc Mahon (club secretary) on 087-9842898, before this Saturday (28th May) @ 7pm. Prices for the tickets:

  • Covered Stand €27
  • Covered Stand – Senior Citizen €15
  • Covered Stand Family (Child) €5

When ordering family tickets please state number of adults & children. (i.e 2 adults & 3 children / 1 adult & 2 children etc)

Dancing Classes:

Dancing classes continue at the usual time. Ceile dancing on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm.  Set dancing on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm also.

Votes of Sympathy:

CLG Sean Mac Diarmada would like to sympathise with the Mc Eniff and Toal families on the death of Sue Mc Eniff. May she rest in peace.
