Doohamlet GFC Notes

Community Games: As ever the Clontibret Parish Community Games team produced their usual strong challenge in the under 10 competition. Despite winning only one game against Donagh the team displayed many notable qualities in the defeats to Bawn/Latton, Tullycorbett and Monaghan. Indeed the 2-05 to 0-04 defeat to Bawn/Latton now appears a most creditable performance against the eventual champions. In their final match they could easily have won at home to Monaghan before losing a high quality match on a score of 2-06 to 1-06.

This year Doohamlet had a record number of 8 boys on the panel. Daniel Connolly, Jack Treanor, Joshua Mone and Cillian Walshe were among the teams strongest performers. Despite their youth the quartet of Nathan Casey, Dylan Duffy, Joshua Harris and Kieran Markey made valuable experience in the years ahead.

Ulster Championship: Best Wishes to Colin Walshe and the County team in Omagh on Sunday. This is not an all ticket match, only the covered stand requires tickets.
