Our under 16s had a good win last Thursday after a very slow start. We managed to be ahead at half time by 2 points and with the wind with us in the second half we maintained the lead and finished much stronger in the last 10 mins winning 5-10 to 2-10.Training every Monday and Thursday at 6.30. Best performances for Clones were Darek Sviridenko, Kevin Reilly, James Mealiff, Ben Daly, Michael Morgan, Owen McQuald and Jordan Dowds made a great impact when he came on in the second half. ” Man of the Match! – Darek Sviridenko. Clones minors had a good win over donamoyne 1-15 to 0-15 in a game that could have gone either way. The minors are now top of the league so keep up the good work lads.

The Clones primary school hurlers had a beneficial work out on monday when they took part in a county blitz in cloughan. first up was a tough game against a very strong carrickmacross team, who went on to contest the final, defeating clones by 6 points on route. In the last game in the section clones put in a spirited second half performance against last years winners, st marys boys school monaghan, only to lose out by two late scores after a good goal from darragh slowey. Best on the day was james cleary, nathan daly, fabian beggan, conor reilly, declan mc kernan, david mc cabe, tiaran monaghan, ryan mc govern and darragh slowey. Training continues every monday from 5pm-6.15 for kids aged 7 to 14. if you would like to give a hand helping out contact padjo!

Gumshields; Michael Donegan, Dental Technican,Enniskillen will be in attendance at St Tiarnachs Park, (canteen) 18th May to take impressions from all those interested in being fitted for gumshields. Clones GAA is bringing TAKE ME OUT to town on Saturday 14th May. The St. Tiarnach’s club would like to invite everyone to come along and enjoy the craic. Show starts at 8pm, and is followed by a disco till late!
