Team Affairs:

Our intermediate team played local rivals Eire og on Friday night last in the IFL. Seans managed to secure two valuable league points after a close fought game, in which we made extremely hard work of. See match report elsewhere in this issue.  A special word of thanks to Eire Og for facilitating us, and moving the match to Friday evening. Much Appreciated.

Congratulations to David Mc Entee and Padraic Mc Guirk who both received British Colleges All Stars in Croke Park on Saturday evening last.

Minors:

Our minors take on Killanny next Tuesday evening @7pm at home.

Ladies:

Congratulations to the Seans ladies who organized and executed a magnificent night’s entertainment in the complex on Sunday night last. Well done to all the couples who took part especially the eventual winners Ciaran and Marie Mc Entee. The comperes on the night were local sketch artists Brendan Finan and Frank Evans. Although the world wide economy is witnessing a severe recession, it is heartening to know the downturn has not got the length of one house in Cabra, yet. A quiet, unassuming, reserved man by nature he supports all sport and community activities in the parish be it at home or away. Fair play Brian.

Referees:

Anybody interested in taking up refereeing should contact the Chairman, Gerry Lynch as referee courses will be beginning soon. With nearly 800 juvenile matches alone to be refereed throughout the county this year, it is very important we have enough referees.

Dancing Classes:

Dancing classes continue at the usual time. Ceile dancing on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm.  Set dancing on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm also.

Table Quiz:

Local club members table quiz in aid or Autism Ireland and St Marys National School Threemilehouse

Two of the local clubmen (Ciaran Murphy and Barry Mc Guinness) are undertaking a mammoth cycle of 346 miles over four European Countries in aid or Autism Ireland and St Marys National School Threemilehouse , which caters for children with Autism in the surrounding parishes.

They are running a table quiz next Friday the 6th of May in order to raise funds for this great cause. The table quiz will commence at 9.0 clock and would appreciate as much support from the local community as possible. There will be spot prizes on the night along with refreshments. More to follow in next weeks edition
