Coiste Chontae Mhuineachain is this year again sponsoring a number of Gaeltacht Scholarships to Colaiste Bhride, Rann na Feirste, Co. Dun na nGall. The scheme is limited to boys and girls from County Monaghan who are attending secondary school and are aged between 13 and 15 years old this year. Interviews for the scholarships will be held in the C’Blayney Community Enterprise Centre on Saturday May 7th starting at 10.00am. Currin Senior team: On Saturday 23rd April Currin played Rockcorry away and continued with their high standard of play right from the start. The Final Score was Rockcorry -11  Currin -13.
The Currin mid field players controlled the game, all playing well.  The forwards won the ball regularly and put the Rockcorry defence under pressure from the start.
Conor McCaffrey, Sean Brady,Jack McKerns and Gerard O’Callaghan were outstanding on the Currin side.  Scorers for Currin: Jack McKerns 5 points, Dick Clerkin 2 points, Gerard O’Callaghan 2 points, Steven Smyth 2 points, Kieran Kerns 1 point and Gareth Beattie 1 point. Well done lads that’s three in a row and keeps Currin top of the league.
