Reserve League Division 1

Clontibret 0-16, Cremartin 0-05. The team hit form from the start and with everyone playing well gave Cremartin little chance to get into the game. Team and scorers: Arthur Morgan, Donal Carragher, Padraig McGuigan, Kevin Ward, Christopher Tedore, Colin Duffy (0-1), Fergal McGuigan (0-1), Daithi McKeown, Pauric Boyle (0-1), Johnny McKenna (0-3), Fergal O’Dowd, Kieran Greenan, Paul Winters (0-1), Ryan McGuigan (0-6), Ronan Murphy (0-2). Subs: Thomas Greenan (0-1), Brian Morgan, Darren Murphy. We played Magheracloone yesterday evening, Wednesday. Result next week. The next game is fixed for Wednesday, 27th April, a home tie against ‘Blayney.

Reserve League Division 3

Clontibret 1-11, Killeevan 1-06. A whole-hearted team display which saw us take a five point half-time lead, and despite coming under serious pressure in the second half, with the lead reduced to one point, came back with a flourish to finish. Team and scorers: Declan Savage, Brian McSkane, Brian Morgan, Christopher Fanning, Philip Rooney, Donal Carragher, Fergal McGuigan (1-2), Kieran Greenan, Fergal Greenan (0-01), Paul Winters (0-4), Fergal O’Dowd (0-2), Darren Murphy, Aiden Leonard, Padraig McShane, Shane Murphy. Subs: Kevin Ward, Niall Duffy (0-1), Shane McNally. Next up is a home game against Seans on Saturday, 23rd April at 6pm.

Minor League

Clontibret 1-10, Monaghan Harps 2-06. The boys fought back well to secure a victory by the minimum margin and claim another two valuable league points. We played Scotstown on Tuesday gone by, result next week. Next Tuesday we have a home game against Emyvale at 7pm.

U16 League

We play ‘Blayney this evening in this league in Clontibret at 7pm.

U14 Championship

Clontibret 2-08, Truagh 1-06. Following an easy league victory over the same opposition, the u14s had to fight hard to secure a narrow victory which was only made secure with the final kicks of the game.

U12s

Both our u12 teams have games away to Scotstown this Saturday, the first game at 12pm, followed by the next one at 1.15pm. The bus will leave at 11am.

U10 / Nursery

It is hoped that the Nursery / u10s will start during the month of April. All new players and families in the area are very welcome to come along and join in. For this to be a success we will need the help of parents and volunteers. Please contact Fergal Mone on 0872242726 if you would like to help out.

National League Forecasts

Last week’s winner will be published in next week’s notes. This is the final week of the forecasts so everybody is encouraged to make it as successful as possible and finish this fundraising venture on a high note.

Easter Camps

The County Board are running 3-day camps for boys and girls aged 5-10 over the Easter holidays. The camps are being held in Ballybay and Scotstown and the cost per child is €40. More information can be obtained from Paul O’Connor (Games Development Officer) on 0868374827.
