Seniors – The seniors are away to Scotstown this Saturday evening (7.00PM)

Junior B – The Bs good run continued last Thursday night when they overcame Latton 3-10 to 2-09 after an entertaining game in St Marys Park. Latton looked the likely side in the early exchanges and held a narrow lead for most of the first half until a classy finish from Gerry Brady near the end of the half gave Blayney the half time lead. Blayney started the second half strongly and an excellent move starting in the full back line resulted in Fergal Duffy finishing to the net to put the home side in a strong position. Latton rallied and bagged a couple of goals themselves before another goal from Brady made the game safe. The game also saw a nasty hand injury to Chris Cronin and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Junior C – The Junior Cs were defeated 0-07 to 0-06 by Blackhill on Friday night. It was a poor performance all round with Blayney trailing for most of the game and despite drawing level twice in the closing stages a Blackhill point on the stroke of full time sealed Blayneys fate.

Minors – The minors gained their first brace of points with a 3-07 to 0-04 victory over Emyvale last Tuesday evening. They took full advantage of playing with the elements in the first half and netted three times during the half to put the game beyond Emyvale. The second half was much more even with the sides only scoring one point apiece. They were away to Truagh on Tuesday night of this week (result and match report next week) and next Tuesday evening they travel to Drumhowan to play St Patricks (7.00PM).
