CLUB NOTES
15th March 2011
“Rock Country” Night
The countdown is over guys and gals as the performers are in the final rehearsals before tomorrow night’s (Friday 18th March) BIG Country & Western show which promises to be on par, if not bigger and better than other shows done to date! During the week I caught up with the main event organiser Ollie McQuillan and he quoted “the music is just amazing”. He highlighted that “Rock Country has all the ingredients of a big Country & Western night”. He also commented on the performers stating that “we have a very talented group of singers and the audience on Friday night will be treated to a great variety of styles, with each making their own version of the song their own”. After getting a sneak preview of the CD last week I am certainly 100% in agreement with you Ollie and I guarantee you folks Rock Country will be a great night’s entertainment so please show your support by supporting them and buy a ticket for this event or you can pay at the door. Performing on the night will be Phillip Clarke, Annette Hillis, Kelly Crowe, Hughie Carroll, Nuala Boylan, Fionnuala McQuillan, Robert Brown, Warren Brown, Elaine Tate, Irene McCormick, Ollie McQuillan and Patricia Treanor. Some of the artists featured will include Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Ronnie Milsap, Billy Jo Spears and Roy Rogers to name but a few! So boys get those checkered shirts back out of the closet and girls get those legs out of the high heels and into your cowgirl boots! We want to see ya all looking your very best tomorrow night (Friday 18th March) as we dance the night away to some fabulous country classics. Local DJ, Sean McCaffrey will be our Master of Ceremonies and “Rock Country” will definitely be a Root’n, Toot’n good ole time. Yee-Ha!
Senior Team Fixtures
This Saturday 19th March our senior team will commence their Intermediate league campaign with a home game against Aughnamullen. The game has a throw-in time of 3.00pm and all players are requested to be in the dressing-rooms at 2.15pm. On Sunday 27th March we have another home game against Drumhowan at 2.30pm. Your support through attendance at matches would be gratefully appreciated so please go along and cheer on the lads and be that extra man!
Reserve Team Fixtures
Unfortunately due to bad weather conditions last weekend our reserve game against Truagh was cancelled. On Saturday 26th March the Reserve team will travel to play Emyvale and the game has a throw-in time of 4.00pm.
Minor Team
This year our minor team has amalgamated with the Killeevan club and have entered Division 2 of the minor football competition and shall be competing against Maghercloone, Latton, Sean McDermotts, Killanny and Eire Og/Tyholland.
Under 16 Team
Our under 16 team has also amalgamated with Aghabog and will be called Rock Emmets. They commence their season on Thursday 31st March when they travel to play Doohamlet at 6.30pm.
Under 14 Team
The under 14’s start their league competition this Saturday 19th March with a home game against Tyholland. The game has a 12pm throw-in. Please check www.rockcorrygaa.ie for all other fixtures concerning our underage teams.
Under 12 Team
Our under 12 team will commence their Spring League on Saturday 2nd April with a home game against Clones at 12pm.
Code of Best Practice
With the juvenile league competitions starting shortly it is important that all parents are familiar with our Code of Best Practice and that they sign the declaration form and return same to our Youth Officer Pascal Smith.

Top 4 Lotto Results
The numbers drawn last Monday night were 2, 11, 13, and 24. There was no jackpot winner of €6,300.00. The following won €15 each :- Pat Brannigan Rockcorry, Noreen Calvert Rockcorry, Joe McSkane Clontibret, Paddy, Eilish & Cillian Clontibret, Josh Brady Rockcorry, Wendy Calvert Cootehill, Noreen Calvert Rockcorry. Annual Top 4 Lotto Ticket
If you are not currently subscribing to our Top 4 lotto draw you can now support the club by entering the weekly draw for 12 months, 6 months or a 3 month period. To play simply select your four numbers between 1 and 28 complete the form and you need never miss a draw again! Tickets cost €90 for the 12 month option. Your continued support is always much appreciated and we wish you good luck in future draws.
Club Membership
The closing date for club membership is now approaching so if you have not already paid your membership please ensure you get it paid before Thursday 31st March. The annual subscription for adults has been reduced to €20 with all juveniles under the age of 18 costing €5 and any student that can provide a valid student card the membership fee is €5.

The club extends their best wishes and a speedy recovery to Brian McGorman who was recently hospitalized. We look forward to seeing you out and about again soon.
