Senior League

Our first senior league game is away to the Harps on Wednesday, 20th April at 7pm.

Reserve League Division 1

We take the Harps at home on Saturday at 7pm.

 

Reserve League Division 3

Clontibret 0-10, Oram 0-11. A good first half performance wasn’t followed by for the second and let Oram back to steal a game that should have been won. Team: Declan Savage, Brian McSkane, Kevin Ward, Christopher Fanning, Fergal McGuigan, Donal Carragher, Philip Rooney, Kieran Greenan, Fergal Greenan, Paul Winters (0-4), Fergal O’Dowd, Darren Murphy (0-1), Niall Duffy (0-4), Christopher Morgan, Shane Murphy (0-1). Next up is a home game against Clones at 11.30am on Sunday morning.

Minor League

We played St. Patrick’s in the minor league on Tuesday gone by. Result next week. Next Tuesday the Harps provide the opposition in a home game at 6.45pm.

 

U16 League

Well done to the u16 team who beat a Tyholland / Fergal O’Hanlon amalgamation in a challenge match on Sunday last. The u16 league gets underway this day fortnight, 14th April with a home tie against ‘Blayney.

 

U14 League

The u14s turned on the style on Saturday last with two excellent performances with the Division 2 team victorious over Truagh, while the Division 5 team got the better of Scotstown. Both were exciting, high scoring games and the boys did themselves proud. Well done. Next up for the u14s is the championship with the Division 2 team again taking on Truagh at home on Saturday week, 9th April, while the Division 5 team got a bye in their first round of the championship. 

U14 Training

Anyone born up to the year 2002 is eligible for u12 football and all boys of this age group are encouraged to join in. Training continues on Sunday morning at 11.15am.

National League Forecasts

Ronan McDonnell from The Corner Shop, Ballybay won last week’s competition on a score of 42 points. Many thanks to Rory who very kindly put his winnings back into the club’s Juvenile Fund, a gesture that is very much appreciated. The previous week’s winner was Philomena Ward with a score of 47 points.

Club Membership

A reminder that club membership must be paid to Tommy G by this evening, the last day of March.  

Hurling Club AGM

The hurling club will hold their AGM this evening, Thursday at 8pm in the clubrooms. All welcome. Parents of juvenile players are asked to make a special effort to attend.

New Club Website

Our new club website has recently been launched and Liam Swift is doing an excellent job of keeping it regularly updated with all club happenings, including all match results which are posted within hours of the game. All juvenile fixtures are also on the website, as well as upcoming adult fixtures. Make sure to check it out at www.clontibretoneills.gaa.ie. We also have a Facebook page, type in Clontibret GAA and join our group page. Many thanks to Liam for his fantastic work in keeping us very much up to date with all club affairs.

GAA History

Monaghan GAA Board are seeking two or three people from each club who would take part in the People’s History Project. Participants would attend a series of workshops on Historical Research enabling them to make contributions to match programmes, yearbooks, GAA websites etc. Anyone interested in putting their name forward contact club secretary, Frank on 85336.
