Texas Hold’em Poker – Ticket sales for the Texas Hold’em night are going well and satellite games are being held in local pubs nightly. Corrigans Kitchen is the venue for the event, to be held on Friday April 15th. There is a minimum prize fund of €2500 and tickets are priced at €50. Junior B – The Bs play Truagh in St Marys Park this Saturday evening at 7PM.

Junior C – The Junior C team continued their good start to the season with a 3-14 to 1-06 win over Monaghan Harps on Saturday last. The first half was a tight affair but a late Blayney surge saw them take a six point half time lead. The highlight of the first half was a long range score from Gareth Duffy after a surging run from his half back position. The game was over as a contest shortly after half time went Gerry Brady netted two well taken goals in quick succession. A further goal from Brian McGuigan sealed the win. This weekend the Cs are at home to Killanny on Sunday morning with an 11.30AM throw-in.

Minors – The minor league continues next Tuesday evening with a home fixture against Emyvale (6.45PM).

Membership – Croke Park regulations state that club membership needs to be collected by the end of March and we are now actively seeking peoples membership, costs for the year are €20 for an adult, €30 for a family membership and €10 for a juvenile. Membership can be paid to any committee member or left with Bob in Ned Kellys. Membership forms are also available for download from the club website.

GAA in your Parish – Monaghan County Committee is organising a programme of activities to support research of the GAA within the county and have asked us to contribute. If anyone feels that they have something to offer to this programme could they contact club secretary Melissa Conlon 087 7617216.

Easter Camps – The County Board are running 3-day camps for boys and girls aged 5-10 over the Easter holidays. The camps are being held in Ballybay and Scotstown and the cost per child is €40. More information can be obtained from Paul O’Connor (Games Development Officer) on 0868374827.

U14 – The U14s lost out to Magheracloone last Saturday after a hard fought encounter.
U12 – Training on Monday evenings at Convent astro-turf, 5.45-7PM.

Circuit Training – Faughs man Marc Loughman is taking circuit training classes in the Scout Hall on Tuesday and now due to demand Thursday nights. The classes start at 8.30PM on both nights and are open to men and women; cost is €5 per night. Marc can be contacted at 0879489207.

Lotto – Lotto numbers for the week ending 21st March 2011 were 10, 12, 23 and 26. There was no Jackpot winner; one person matched 3 numbers to win €150; Padraig Sherry. Next week’s jackpot is €11,000.
