Castleblayney Notes

March 8th, 2011

Seniors– The senior league opened with a very disappointing 2-14 to 0-10 reversal to Truagh last Sunday afternoon. The seeds were sown in a lacklustre first half and although the performance improved in the second half it never looked likely that Blayney would trouble their hosts. There is a three week break now until the next senior fixture, a home fixture with Monaghan Harps on 27th March.

Team: Padraig McBennett, Stephen Lynch (0-01), Cormac Brady, Darren Daly, Paddy Mallon, Ciaran Hughes, Paddy Conlon, Francis Moore, Gary Ward, Damien Hughes (0-02), Keith Hill (0-04), Dermot Malone, Mark Hanratty, Brian McGuinness, Patrick Tavey. Subs: Martin McElroy (0-02) for Brian McGuinness, Niall Duffy (0-01) for Darren Daly, Mark McMahon for Paddy Conlon, Gerry Brady for Mark Hanratty.

Junior B – The Bs are away to Magheracloone on Sunday morning. Note the early throw in time of 11.30AM; this is owing to Monaghans National League fixture against Dublin later in the day.
