Handball:

Well Done: to Jonathon McKenna on securing the Novice 4 county title last Sunday. Johnny defeated Liam Duffy from Bawn on a score line of 21-7 21-9. The first game was as a close enough contest with Liam getting the closest to Johnny all night at 8-6 but all Jonathon’s practice paid off and won out comfortably. Congratulations Johnny.

Novice 1: competition we have 3 players who have reached the semi-finals: Ian Treanor, Eamon Todd and Christopher. See the notice board at St. Mellans for all game details.

Congratulations: to Ryan and Aaron Mohan on winning a play off to represent the county in the U12 Doubles. The boys were playing Harps opposition. Losing the first game, 4-12, they took a time out and after receiving good advice from Michael gained control winning that game 15-12. They then won the next game 15-1. Best of luck in the Ulster competition.

Minors: we have 3 out of the 4 players left. Fergal O’Neill plays Padraig McKenna and Christopher McKenna plays Terry McElvaney from the Harps. Good luck to all concerned.

Hard luck: to Ian Treanor and Christopher McKenna on losing their Ulster Double games against Carrickmore opposition. Also to Conor McGinnity and Eamon Todd who had to forfeit their game as Eamon was down with the flu.

Club Games: Keep an eye out for details of the club singles and doubles competitions in St. Mellans which will be announced shortly.

Alley Bookings: Please note that St. Mellans will be hosting Ulster and some college games in the coming weeks so all players adults and juveniles be careful when booking alleys.  We hope to have any bookings written into the booking charts if we receive enough notice of the time and dates of the games. These games will take priority in the court over our booked games. We hope no clashes occur.

Juveniles: are still being coached on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6pm. With new players still joining us on a weekly basis we will have to re-assess the schedule in how we are coaching these players.

Camogie:

We will be holding our AGM tomorrow night, Friday, in St Mellans at 7.30. Could everybody please make the effort to attend. New members and parents are encouraged to attend also. We look forward to seeing you all there.
