Sean Mac Diarmada Notes 20-01-11

Dates for Your Diary:

Friday 4th February – Co Monaghan Scor Semi-Finals- Tullycorbett @ 8pm

Saturday 5th February – Dr Ward Cup Winning Team Presentation Night

Friday 25th February – Jubilee Mass

Presentation Night:

Saturday 5th February is the date set for the presentation night to the Junior Football League winning team. This promises to be a good night, with tickets for buffet and entertainment keenly priced @€12:50. The tickets can be purchased from any committee member over the next few weeks.

Team Affairs:

Gary and his management team have organised a team meeting for this Saturday evening at 6pm in the complex. This will get the ball rolling for 2011, and in doing so plan the demise of already hot favourites Carrickmacross Emmetts for the Intermediate Championship, whom we drew to face in the first round of the Championship. Any player who intends to play adult football for the club should make a priority to be there on time on Saturday evening.

Jubilee Year Celebrations:

The jubilee year celebrations will commence on Friday 25th February with mass in St Mary’s Church, and light refreshments will be served in the complex immediately after. This will be the first part of a series of celebrations throughout the year. More details later.

Juveniles:

With the New Year well and truly upon us, Enda has extended an open invitation to all those who would like to assist in any way with coaching and mentoring any juvenile team in the coming year. He intends to hold a meeting on the last Saturday in January, so please inform him in the meantime. All help is appreciated, so that the burden does not fall on a few.

Scor:

The Scor semi-final for 2011 will take place on Friday 4th February in Tullycorbett community centre. Rosaleen has trawled the parish to ensure all those who are competing have the S-Factor. There will be a great array of talent on display on the night from our club and hopefully they will get plenty of vocal support on the night.

Dancing Classes:

Dancing classes continue at the usual time. Ceile dancing on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm.  Set dancing on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm also.

Bingo:

The mini JACKPOT stands at €700 on 45 calls next Monday night. Meanwhile the BIG JACKPOT is now €12,300 on 45 calls. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Membership:
The club membership subscription for 2011 is  now due, and should be paid as soon as possible to registrar Enda Murphy, who will gratefully accept all donations on behalf of the club. Prompt payment will ensure that you continue to be a club member for 2011. Enda has taken up employment abroad for the time being, but will return at weekends,
