Congratulations:

Congratulations to Stephen Hagan who was awarded Co. Monaghan Juvenile referee of the year at the end of year Juvenile awards night. This is a very commendable achievement as Stephen only took up his whistle a short number of years ago. This year he refereed the under 16 championship final along with many other grades of football. This success can be attributed to the fact Stephen has played a lot of football and understands what players are thinking when they take to the field, he sees himself as not necessarily the man in charge, but the person who ensures that the game flows. Like all good referees he has a good team of umpires who travel with him, and I would like to thank these people on behalf of Stephen and the club. Hopefully this is the first of many awards for Stephen.

Congratulations to one lucky winner who scooped €1000 in the mini Jackpot. This pot returns to the princely sum of €500 on 45 calls next Monday night. Meanwhile the BIG JACKPOT now approaches €12000 on 45 calls. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Membership:
The club membership subscription for 2011 is due in the first couple of weeks of the New Year, and should be paid as soon as possible to new registrar Enda Murphy, who will gratefully accept all donations on behalf of the club. Prompt payment will ensure that you continue to be a club member for 2011.
