Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thurs. 20th Jan

Team Management: The committee ratified the position of adult team manager for 2011 at a meeting on Monday tonight. Ciaran Brennan takes charge of the senior team.  The positions of Reserve B&C management have yet to be filled as well as the U21 Management.

Training: Well it’s that time of year again lads, time to dust the cobwebs off the old gear and get back into action. Training will start in the coming weeks.

Foundation Level Coaching Course: The foundation level coaching course will take place this weekend: Friday night followed with Saturday morning. On the Fri night, the course will run from 7pm to 10pm and on the Sat, it will run from 9am to 4pm. There are a few places still available if you are interested in completing this course please contact the Coaching Officer Niall McKenna on 0860675661 as soon as possible.

Dr McKenna Cup: Monaghan play their final Mc Kenna Cup game against Derry in Celtic Park on Sunday at 2.00pm.

Condolences: The club also extends its deepest sympathy to the Harte and Mc Areavey family on the recent tragic death of  Michaela McAreavey. Members of the club attended the wake on Sunday afternoon. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilis.
Juvenile AGM: The juvenile AGM was held in the club rooms in Tully last Tuesday night the 11th of Jan. The officers that were elected for 2011 were: Chairperson: Raymond Kelly, Vice-Chair: Kieran Boyle, Secretary: Paula Loughran, Assistant Secretary: TBA, PRO: TBA, Assistant PRO: Louise Colton, Registrar: Malachy McCarey, Assistant Registrar: TBA, Juvenile Rep to the Executive committee: Barney McNally, Youth Officer: Noel McKenna, Committee Members:  Michael McCarron, Brid Downey, Sean Hughes, Enda O’Brien, Malachy McCarey, Joe Fields, Arthur Sherry, Sean McMeel, Philip McKenna, Geraldine Watterson, Gene McKenna, Mick McAree, Francie McQuaid, Padraig Treanor, Seamus O’Neill and Sean McQuaid.
