Toome Club Notes 20.04.2023

April 19th, 2023

Intermediate League: Doohamlet were the victors in the opening game of the season for the senior team, the visitors came with a gameplan and stuck to it. Putting pressure on the Toome players when they were in possession and forcing errors, then capitalising with runs up the field and taking their scores. Toome showed great fighting spirit and kept trying to the bitter end, mistakes were made but that is only to be expected at this stage of the season, plenty of positives to be taken from this game too and plenty to work on over the coming days. Toome 0:12 – 4:12 Doohamlet. Next up is a visit to Sean McDermotts in Round 2 of the Intermediate League on Sunday 23rd April at 2:00pm. Please be sure to spread the word and come along to show your support. #BeThe16thMan.

Reserve Championship: The Crawley Cup starts with a home fixture in the preliminary round of the RFC Crawly Cup against Sean McDermotts, Sunday 30th April at 2:00pm. Please be sure to come along and support the lads. #BeThe16thMan.

Juvenile Training: The U11’s Spring League opening fixture against Currin at was called off due to the weather. The U11’s will have a match this Saturday 22nd April at 11:00am in the Peace Link field Clones. The juveniles (4 – 11 years) continue to develop their skills with training each Saturday morning from 10:00am and had a great time on Saturday last where all received an Easter Egg. All the children are having a great time and plenty of fun while making new friends as they develop their skills. Under 9’s and U11’s will also train on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm on the main field, see you all there.
Please spread the word to your friends, family, neighbours and relations, new children are always very welcome. Thanks to all our coaches/mentors who give their time so generously.
