U14’s League

Our division 2 team played their first league games against St. Tiarnachs last Monday, St Tiarnachs were the better team in the first half, the second half saw our girls work better together and gave an excellent performance. Final score, St Tiarnachs 2:10, Truagh 2:08.

On Tuesday last our B team travelled to Aughnamullen, and with a great all round performance won their first league game. Well done to all our players and thank you to all parents and family who supported both teams.

Training continues on Thursday at 8pm.

St.Mellans Handball Club

Adult County Doubles & Master Competitions.

The first of the County Doubles final took place last Wednesday in St.Mellans, the “Junior Doubles Final” was an all club final were we had John Treanor & Fergal O Neill taking on Eoin Treanor & Patrick Mc Kenna, John & Fergal just crept over the line 21-19, 21-15 to secure the title, with both games taking about 45 mins each to complete it proved a marathon game, two tight teams with not much between them, but well done to all four taking part and special congrats to John & Fergal, in “Novice A” Damien Mc Rory & John Mc Carron are in the final and they could be joined by Aidan Kerr & Joe Kelly to make another all club final but they have to play Michael & Robbie Duffy in the semi-final, the “Novice B” county final is also an all club final where Conor Fearon & Damon Hughes played Chrissy Meehan & Johnny Mc Kenna(T) it is due to be played this week, so report when played, in the “Masters Singles” John Treanor and Paul Cassidy are in semi-final, also due to be played this week, good luck to all still in action.
