Finals of  Centra (Tullycorbet) U14 Parish league took place last Saturday night under lights  in Drumhowan. The 1st game  a cup semi final between Dublin and Donegal was a close fought one with Donegal beating Dublin by 1 point therefore guaranteeing them a place in the Cup final against Cork. The following game was the Shield Final between Mayo and Kerry and this resulted in a win for the Munster Boys Kerry. A delighted Captain Micheál  Duffy received the Tullycorbet Parish Shield from sponsor Marie Drury of Drury’s Centra Ballybay. The big cup final then followed between Donegal and Cork. Donegal the surprise Finalists perhaps underperformed due to a tiring semi final and Cork the leaders of league throughout won with a captivating performance. The  winning captain Eoin Mc Kearney then received the Tullycorbet Parish League Cup from sponsor Steven Drury of Drury’s Centra, Ballybay.

It goes without saying thanks to all the parents for making sure that their children  all attended.

Thanks to  Marie Duffy who provided 1st aid and water The referees also need to be thanked (they seldom do!)- Conor Duffy, Ronan Duffy, Brent Wylie and finally David Hurson who took charge on the finals night. Also thanks to both the Drumhowan and Ballybay U14 management teams who let all the boys play even though both clubs were involved in the final stages of the league. Thanks also to Brendan Macklin and his team for making the pitch ready in Ballybay and Francis Gerard Duffy and Francis Mc Ginnity doing the same in Drumhowan On the night its self both clubs were grateful to Tommy and Nancy Mc Ardle, Arianne Mc Cracken, Róisín Deery, Francis Gerard Duffy, Gerry Finnegan and Ita Duffy for preparing the refreshments. Hopefully we have mentioned everyone in this list of thanks. If anyone was omitted it certainly wasn’t our intention.
