Lotto Next week’s Lotto prize will be 8,200 euro for any lucky player that can match all four numbers.

The numbers drawn in this week’s Lotto were 18, 19, 20 and 26. The Jackpot was not won. The following four players collected fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip draw…John Martin, Collops, Paul Farrelly, Muff, Margaret Keenan, Shercock and Kitty Carrier, Killygally.

 

Senior Championship. The senior championship is now reaching its concluding stages and for all games this weekend it is the “last chance saloon” as regards claiming the title of county champions for 2011. Magheracloone make the short journey to Inniskeen on Saturday evening to face old rivals Clontibret in a repeat of last year’s county final. The throw-in is timed for 6.30 and a big turnout of fans would prove to be a big boost for the team’s efforts. The Magheracloone team shows many changes from last year and the team members will be hoping to reverse last year’s final result.

In the league the team, the senior team had the ideal preparation for this weekend with two solid victories over the past ten days which should see Magheracloone claim a semi final place. On Wednesday of last week, the visitors were Doohamlet with Magheracloone claiming the points on a score line 0-22 to 1-8. This victory was followed up by another win in Latton on Saturday evening on a score of   1-10 to 0-11. In the meantime the Reserve league continued with a home win over Truagh by a goal. The senior teams will hope that the winning habit will continue in the weeks ahead.

 

Monthly Meeting. The monthly meeting for September will be held in the clubrooms on Tuesday 6th at 8.30. All members are welcome to attend.

 

Minor.   The date for the replay of the championship has yet to be fixed. However it is expected to take place on Tuesday evening next. The team mentors will have the definite information as soon as it becomes available.

In the meantime the league continued this week with a home game versus Latton. Following a tight contest Magheracloone came out on top and won by four points. The final score read Magheracloone 1-11 to Latton’s 1-7.
