Intermediate League:

Last Friday evening we visited Rockcorry and collected two valuable points in the process. The game was played under perfect conditions and was very heartening to see a large travelling support. Seans began the game in whirlwind fashion and were a goal and two points to the good in the opening few minutes. However Rockcorry gradually eased themselves back into the game and approaching half-time there was the bare minimum between the sides. Both teams traded scores at the commencement of the half and gradually Seans surged forward and gained a formidable lead. There was a tense finish to the match as Rockcorry were awarded a penalty in the last few minutes and at this stage not everybody was certain of the exact score. However Rockcorry converted the maximum from the penalty and we held on for a one point game. Final Score Seans 1-14, Rockcorry 1-13. This Saturday evening we entertain Drumhowan in the Intermediate League at headquarters @ 7:00pm. On Saturday week we go head to head against old foes Tyholland in the backdoor of the Intermediate Championship @6:00pm. As we get to the business end of the season it is very important we maintain our discipline and endeavours at training, as we can see we can easily hold our own, and hopefully the last few games have demonstrated this to our young squad. Our reserve team entertain Aughnamullen at a rescheduled time and date of this Thursday night @ 8:15pm. This will take place immediately after the under16 game against Latton which throws in @ 7:00pm

Under-16:

Our under 16 team entertain Latton on Thursday evening as the first part of a double header in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada @7:00pm. Hopefully these young men can push on from their tremendous win on Thursday night last. Despite working from a limited pool of players and many from the under 14 ranks the players and management are putting in a tremendous effort, as it would have been a whole lot easier to drop down a division and not have to work as hard, to compete.

Cultural Night:

The 2nd Friday of the month is almost here! Our Traditional Irish Music session takes place on Friday 8th July in the complex. Looking forward to seeing you all there for what’s promising to be a terrific night’s entertainment.

Junior musicians kick off the session @ 9pm sharp, with our seasoned performers picking up the pace as the night progresses! Everyone welcome.
