Ulster Finals: Hard luck to both Michael Mc Carron and Owenie Joe McClave on losing their Ulster Finals at the weekend. Owenie lost his to Robert Mc Mahon from Antrim on a score line of 21-19, 21-20, while Michael’s final was a local derby with Pete Larkin from Emyvale where he lost it 15-21,9-21. Pete using what is national known as the lob serve but we know locally as the Tammy serve provided very effective. Hard luck to both players. In the Ulster Minor Doubles we had mixed fortunes with Padraig Mc Kenna and Fergal O Neill losing their semi-final while Christopher Mc Kenna and Terry Mc Elvaney (Harps) won their match.

Nov 1 Final: Christopher (PJ) McKenna beat Ian Treanor in the Nov 1 Final on Saturday evening last. on a scoreline of 21-2, 21-13.
