Magheracloone G.A.A.

Lotto . The Lotto draw for the  week ending 9th April saw the following numbers being drawn…..4, 6, 11 and 26. The jackpot was not won and four players won fifty euro each in the Lucky Dip. The winners were Michael Hughes, Magheracloone, Marian and Eugene c/o Burns of Shercock, Owen Gilsenan, Magheracloone and Karen Hall c/o Markey’s.

The next draw will be held on the 16^th April in the clubrooms.

Senior League.   The football season began in earnest this week when the senior league swung into action on yesterday evening (Wednesday). Magheracloone’s campaign began with a visit to Latton.

Rounds Two and Three will follow quickly with a visit from Truagh on Sunday 15^th with a two o’clock throw-in followed by a trip to Currin on the following Sunday 22^nd.

Reserves. The Reserve League continues with a game on 18^th at home to Castleblayney. Their campaign has not really got off the ground yet and following a recent defeat to Monaghan Harps this team will be hoping for a better result next time out.

Minors.  The minor team have also begun their campaign in recent days and I hope to have news of their results to date for next week.

Score-board Sponsorship.  The opportunity is still there for an individual or a company to sponsor the score-board at the club grounds. Further information can be got from the club Treasurer, Jim McMahon, or indeed any executive member.
