Lotto – The lotto is having a long overdue facelift, from Easter Monday the weekly prize fund will be increased from €150 to €200 and there will also be major monthly prizes such as large cash amounts, TVs, wwekend breaks etc. Much more details next week but watch out for our new tickets on the town from next Monday.

Junior B – A busy weekend for the Bs with two games down for decision. First we take on Truagh in Clontibret at 6.45 on Friday evening in a re-arranged game and on Sunday we travel to Scotstown for a 2PM throw-in.

Junior C – The Cs flattered to deceive on Sunday when they went down by 4-10 to 0-11 against Inniskeen. Blayney had three points on the board in the opening exchanges, the scores coming from Niall Dignam and Fintan Finnegan (2 frees) before Inniskeen settled with a point. Further scores from Sean McGeough and Fergal Duffy extended the lead but with a quick 1-1 from Inniskeen brought them back level. Inniskeen were now in the ascendancy and it was the free taking of Fintan Finnegan that kept Blayney in touch however a second Inniskeen goal on the stroke of half-time saw them go 4 in front. Two more Inniskeen goals in the opening 10 minutes of the second half ended the game as a contest and although Blayney responded with a Finnegan goal from the penalty spot there was no comeback.

Team and Scorers: Bart McNamara; Bernard McDonald, Darren Malone, Ultan Brady; Niall Dignam (0-1), Brian McGuinness;Ray McArdle (0-1), Ciaran McGinn (0-2); Fergal Duffy (0-1), Stephen Duffy, David Callan; Brian Flanagan, Fintan Finnegan (1-5, 1-0pen, 0-5f), Sean McGeough (0-1). This will give the subscribers a special jacket and membership of the newly revamped lotto with major weekly prizes.
