Bank of Ireland Dr. Mc Kenna Cup Section B

Antrim v Monaghan, Sunday, 2.00, Glenavy

Monaghan continue their 2017 Dr. Mc Kenna Cup campaign when they travel to Glenavy to face Antrim this Sunday.

Malachy O’Rourke has named a Monaghan team showing six changes from last week, including a senior inter-county debut for Conor Forde, who replaces his Scotstown team-mate Rory Beggan in goals. Drew Wylie, Niall McKeown, Neil McAdam, Shane Carey and Dermot Malone also come into the starting 15, replacing Ryan Wylie, Kieran Duffy, Darren Hughes, Gavin Doogan and David McAlister

Ryan Murray caught the eye for Antrim with his 1-6 tally last weekend, while Creggan’s Ruairí McCann and substitute Tomás McCann also found the net. Veteran forward Kevin Niblock is another key man for the Saffrons, who are managed by Frank Fitzsimons and Gearóid Adams.

Bank of Ireland Ulster Club U-21 Football Tournament Quarter-Final

Donaghmoyne v Stewartstown, Sunday, 2.00, Creggan

Also in Co Antrim on Sunday, Donaghmoyne enter the Ulster Club U-21 Football Tournament when they take on Tyrone champions Stewartstown at the Creggan Kickhams club grounds.

Donaghmoyne, who edged out then-holders Magheracloone in the 2016 Monaghan U-21 Division One Final, have competed in the Ulster Club MFC twice, losing to four-in-a-row winners Glen Watty Grahams (Derry) in 2014. Donaghmoyne were led in that U-21 final by several players who helped their senior team win the IFC title last year. They include Stephen Finnegan, Mikey Murnaghan, David Garland, Ronan McDonald, Niall and Fergal Keenan, Aaron Courtney and Shane Garland.

Stewartstown also won their county final by the narrowest of margins, with a late winner by Dan Lowe seeing off Coalisland in a low-scoring encounter. The Harps had earlier turned over a fancied Errigal Ciarán side in the semis. Shea Burke, Dan and James Lowe, Tiernan Rush, Dylan McElhatton, and Macauley Quinn are among their main men.
