MELLANS HANDBALL

Table Quiz. We are holding our annual “Table Quiz” tomorrow evening Friday the 27th of March @ 9pm in St.Mellans Complex, funds are going towards One Wall facilities at the national schools in the area, so we are asking all parents and the wider community to please come out and support the club, light refreshments served on the night with a bit of craic thrown in, see you all there.

Adult Single County Championships. It was hard luck for both of our player that took to the court in county finals at the weekend, Niall Rooney was up against Gary Mc Elroy from Bawn in the U21 decider, this game went to a tie break but unfortunately Niall came out on the wrong end of the result, then into the court after that was Brian Connolly where he took on Aidan Marron from Corduff in the Nov4 final, the game and the title also slipped away from the club as Aidan took the spoils 21-9, 21-7, still this will stand well to Brian in future finals, hard luck to both players.

Adult Double County Championships. The fixtures are out now for the adult doubles county championships, play begins the 24th of this month, needless to say all fixtures to be fulfilled, good luck to all taking part.

Juveniles County Double Championships. As we went to print we had no confirmation of the Juvenile county double championships that may take place this weekend the 28th of March, but if we hear in the meantime all we can do is to ring around with the fixtures.
