Seniors:
Last Saturday afternoon our Senior team were in action in the Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final as they took on Rockorry in Castleblayney. The lads put in a great performance from start to finish and thankfully got the win to book their place in this years final. It doesn’t stop there though as they return to action as we take on neighbours Carrickmacross at home in the league on Saturday evening. Throw in is at 5 o clock in Donaghmoyne. Come along to support the team as they look to get the points and a positive performance going into the Championship Final.
Minors:
This Sunday afternoon is D-Day for our Minors, its County Final Day and all roads lead to Clones. The lads look to claim the Minor County Championship and complete the Minor League and Championship. Standing in their way are Magheracloone, and throw in is at 2 o clock in Clones this Sunday. The lads are going to need as much support possible on Sunday so lets make the trip in huge numbers to Clones to get behind the team as they look to take home the silverwear.
Mini Fontenoys:
Mini Fontenoys training has now finished up for this year. We’d like to thank all the young stars who turned out every week and continue to show great promise for the future ahead. We’d also like to thank all the coaches and parents who give up their time every week to help coach our stars of the future and without these the Mini Fontenoys would not bepossible and would not be the great success that it is.
Important Notice:
The number 19 jersey belonging to our mens Senior Jerseys is and has been missing for some time time now. We ask if people would check to make sure they have not got it at home and if people know of its whereabouts could it please be returned ASAP.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.
Ladies
Bridie Coleman Cup:
This Saturday morning the 4th of October, the Bridie Cup Tournament is taking place in Donaghmoyne from 11 to 1 o clock. All girls between the ages 7 years to 12 years of age are welcome so please spread the word and get as many people involved as possible. Come along on Saturday morning to make this day one to remember!
