Seniors:
This Saturday afternoon our Senior team are in action in the Intermediate Football Championship Semi Final as they take on Rockorry in Castleblayney. Throw in is at 3 o clock in Castleblayney on Saturday. Make the trip this weekend to support the team as they look to book their place in this years Championship Final and go one step closer to promotion.

Minors:

Last Friday was D-Day for our Minors as they took on neighbours Carrickmacross in the Division One League Final. The lads were shakey to start, but as the opening half wore on they came more and more into their stride. Thankfully at full time they had enough done on the scoreboard, and Donaghmoyne were crowned Minor League Division One Champions for the first time in 44 years, a fantastic achievement and well done to all! It doesn’t stop there though as the countdown continues ahead of the Minor County Final in Clones on October the 5th where the lads will look to complete the league and championship double. Training continues Friday evening at 7 o clock, important everyone attends.

Conor Mc Skeane Annual Fun Day:

Thanks to all the coaches, parents and also all the Young People who are involved in the Pope John Paul Awards who helped out in making the Conor Mc Skeane funday such a great success last Saturday. A fitting tribute to our dearest friend Conor. See our club Facebook page for some photos from the day.
Mini Fontenoys:
Mini Fontenoys continue this Saturday morning from 11-12 in Donaghmoyne, weather permitting. All children from the ages of 5-10 years old are welcome. Parents are asked to get involved and help out and coach our future stars.

Important Notice:

The number 19 jersey belonging to our mens Senior Jerseys is and has been missing for some time time now. We ask if people would check to make sure they have not got it at home and if people know of its whereabouts could it please be returned ASAP.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.
