Silver Hill Foods

Castleblayney and Inniskeen will contest the Silver Hill Foods Senior Hurling Championship Final for the fifth consecutive year after their semi-final wins on Thursday evening. Blayney took their time to get into their stride against Clontibret, but they eventually went through the gears to comfortably advance, while Inniskeen ran up a big score in their defeat of Truagh, with Ronan and Dónal Meegan hitting 1-12 and 1-9 respectively.

Universal Graphics Ireland

Drumhowan and Scotstown had narrow wins in the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship Round 2B over the weekend (see reports).

Donaghmoyne continued their impressive form in the Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division One with their quarter-final win over Monaghan Harps on Tuesday. Their semi-final opponents are St. Tiarnach’s, who saw off Clontibret, while the other last-four tie will be Scotstown v Magheracloone, after they beat Truagh and Cremartin respectively. Corduff edged past Seán McDermotts in their MFC Division Three quarter-final, while Latton proved too strong for Inniskeen.

Friday’s only game in the County Monaghan Credit Unions Senior Football League saw a depleted team from leaders Ballybay fall to a heavy defeat at home to Magheracloone.

Monaghan Electrical

Inniskeen were even more comprehensive winners in their Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football game on Sunday, which saw them overtake opponents Corduff at the top.

Eurotech

Killanny maintained their place at the top of the Junior Football League with a comprehensive win over Killeevan on Friday, while Aghabog had five points to spare over Éire Óg.

Killanny are through to the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Championship McKeown Cup Final after they saw off Clontibret on Wednesday evening. Blackhill stayed top of the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division Three with a five-point defeat of Truagh, while Monaghan Harps got a walkover from Clones. Doohamlet came out on top in a high-scoring RFL Division Two game against Aughnamullen on Sunday.

 

In the Under-21 Football League, there were wins for Monaghan Harps against Emyvale in Division One North; Killeevan against Latton in Division Two North and Donaghmoyne against Blackhill in Division Two South. Killanny conceded their Division One South fixture against Carrickmacross.
