GAA President Elect / Uachtaran Tofa CLG :Cogratulations to Aogan O’ Fearghail from the Drumgoon Club over the border in Cavan  on his election as GAA President Elect at Congress last Friday night. As Aogan becomes the 38th President of the GAA Association next year he will go down in history as being the 1st Cavan President of the Association. The bonfires burned, the piper played and the Gaels of Cavan and beyond were out in force to welcome him home to Drumgoon on Sunday night. We wish him good luck, go neiri go geal leat!

Congratulations to former player Fiona Meegan and her husband Paul on  the birth of their baby boy Jack.

Monaghan Ladies had a tricky encounter when they played Dublin in the Division 1 League in Inniskeen on Sunday. With both teams sharing top positition on the league table it was all to play for and ended in a draw.

Handball:
There has always been a strong tradition of handball in Corduff and this year the club is going from strength to strength competing in various competitions at the highest level.
On Tuesday The County Novice 3 final takes place in Bawn, between clubmen Brendan mc Nally and Ciaran Brennan. The two Corduff lads have battled their way through to meet in the final. This is set to be a thrilling final as both players are playing great handball at the moment.
The Novice 2 final is set for next weekend where we have Niall Reilly from Corduff facing Colm Donnolly from Emyvale. This is a very tough match for Niall but if he plays like he did in the semi final then he should be victorious. Then on Sunday we have James Fealy and Peter Brennan hoping to  claim an ulster tital when they play in the Emerald Masters Ulster Final in Beragh Co. Tyrone. They face tough opposition Willie Woods and P Mc Givern from Antrim. This will be a tough ask but the Corduff lads are playing great handball as a team and will be there or there abouts at the end.
The GAA team of Ciaran Brennan, Brendan Mc Nally, NialL Reilly and Aidan Marron are top of their league with two games to go so best of luck in their semi final.
Next week Tim Oliver plays in the semi final of the Novice 1. We wish Tim the best of luck and hope he makes to the final.
As you can see handball is going from strength to strength in Corduff and we congratulate all players on reaching the final stages of their respective and wish them well.
