AIB GAA Football All Ireland Junior Club Championship Semi Final: We play Two Mile House the Leinster and Kildare Champions this Sunday the 26th in Pearse Park, Longford at 2:00pm. Get your club colours ahead of the match with club hats for sale in Mc Mahons shop for €10. Best of luck to the players and management. Finally the club would like to encourage all members to make the journey on Sunday and support the team.

Emyvale GAA Juvenile Club AGM: will be held on Tuesday 28th January 2014 at 8.30pm in Tully, All welcome. All members are encouraged to come along and support our young players. They are our future.

Awards Night: The Monaghan GAA County Awards Night took place on Saturday night in the Hillgrove Hotel. Congratulations to our own Daniel Mc Mahon who collected the Junior Footballer of the Year award.

GAA National Club Draw: Central Council is running a draw for clubs. Books of ten tickets are available and the club will retain the proceeds of the tickets sold by the club. Prizes provided by the Ard Comhairle include a trip to the 2014 International Rules in Australia, All-Ireland packages, Corporate box concert tickets, a travel voucher and other great prizes. Books of 10 tickets are currently being distributed.

Membership: Membership is now due for renewal this will cost €25 for 2014

Mouth guards: Gaelic footballers at all grades must wear mouth guards from Jan 1st 2014. It is the responsibility of each individual player to use a mouth guard.

Bingo: Tonight Thursday in the Emyvale Leisure Centre at 9.00pm. Jackpot €1,000 on 45 calls or less and Mini Jackpot € 500 on 50 calls. Cleaning Rota: TBC

Coaching Courses: Monaghan GAA are running a series of Coaching Courses over the next 3 months and if you would like to complete either a Foundation or Level One award please contact Patrick McCarron (0860675516) ASAP.

Ulster GAA Coaching Conference: The O’Neill’s Ulster GAA Coaching Conference 2014 will be held in the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick, Co. Antrim on Saturday 1st February 2014. The theme for 2014 is ’20/20 Vision for 2020 Clubs’ and will have a particular resonance with those coaches working within schools, clubs, academies and county squads in urban settings. Guest speaker will be Brian Mullins, former Dublin Manager. Anybody interested please contact Patrick Mc Carron.

Centenary Year: As mentioned already the club will be celebrating its 100th year in existence in 2014. We hope to mark the occasion in a special way. We would welcome any ideas on what would be appropriate for the occasion. A small sub – committee will be set up shortly to oversee the project.
